What's New Lately? (what really matters to canadians) Friday, June 26, 2009: Nettwerked on Twitter! Follow Nettwerked and Nettwerked might follow you back. NETTWERKED RADIO 3.0?I'm creating an exploratory committee on the possibility (i.e. asking friends what they think about it) of bringing it back. No voicemail. No conferencing. No frills. Just great remixes like when I started it 5 years ago in March 2004. Back to Basics. Friday, May 22, 2009: NETTWERKED IS 10 YEARS OLD!10 years ago on May 22, 1999 a young man by the alias The Clone with only a crappy hypermart.net URL (nettwerk.hypermart.net), a lousy e-zine, and a few half decent articles started a web-site; he called it Nettwerked (the name stolen/inspired from the Vancouver BC record label "Nettwerk").A year later he finally got the domain name "Nettwerked.net". The Clone's lousy e-zine, K-1ine, turned into a really good one. The longest running hacker/phreak 'zine in Canada (1999-2008). Between 1999 and 2009 there were Nettwerked Meetings, a long running radio show, a forum (which still exists), and many many awesome articles. Sometimes I felt like I was wasting my life with Nettwerked, but I don't really regret a lot... it never landed me in jail (*knock on wood*), and I still managed to have friends, get laid often, and get a decent career. What do we have now? A community. Thanks for everyone's support through these last 10 years. It's been a blast! Cheers, The Clone p.s. The site shall live on.
